V（よ）う

意志系は単独で用いると、独り言、勧誘の意味

独り言：express your intention to speak to yourself.

勧誘：persuade, solicit, Shall we?

・あしたは早く起きよう（独り言）

・一緒に行こう（勧誘）friendly

・一緒に行きましょう。formal

例文

・今晩は、しゃぶしゃぶを食べよう。

・明日の午前中、松井先生に会いに行こう。

・この映画を一緒に見よう。

・USJに一緒に行こう。

Vようと思います

if you want to tell somebody that you have the intention of the action,

・あしたは早くおきようと思います。

・一緒に行こうと思います。

例文

・公園に行こうと思います。

・車を買おうと思います。

Vようと思っています。

if you have the intention for some period of time.

・夏休みに旅行しようと思っています。

・木村さんは留学しようと思っています。

Used only for expressing the speaker’s intention.

｢Vようと思っています｣

also used for expressing the listener’s or the third person’s intention as well as speaker’s.

・私は、博士号（はくしごう、はかせごう）に進（すす）もうと思います。

×田中さんは、東京に行こうと思います。

・田中さんは、東京に行こうと思っています。
