AはBですか？ / A is B? (question sentence)

AはBです

We learned this grammer already in the previous post. it means "A is B.". Next let's make the question form of it.

AはBですか？

I just put "か" at the end of "A is B" sentence. It makes the sentence the question form. So, this means "A is B? (Is A B?)" in Enlgish.

あなたは　にほんじん　です

It means "You are a Japanese." in positive form. "あなた/you, にほんじん/Japanese person". And, put "が" at the end of this, you can make this a question form.

あなたは　にほんじん　です　か？

It means "Are you a Japanese?".
